It was a grateful 9 days working in Health Clinic Bestari Jaya,

Filling prescriptions, it seems easy but is quite challenging when it was the first time for me to help filling a prescription. Challenging part is that, you have to know how they arrange the medication, which at where, for instance, blood pressure lower medication on the left and anti cholesterol medication on the right, medication with different formulations do not put together as there's high risk of mistakes.
Whenever I fill in the wrong medication (e.g. metformin and metformin ER, gliclazide and gliclazide MR), the pharmacists there did not scolded me, they will just ask us to check carefully. This not happen only on the first day, even in the second week, they still did not scold me for making some silly mistakes.

Next, we are been given a lot of chances to learn what a pharmacist in health clinic will be doing. They willing to let us learn to transcribe the prescription into the system (for me is the most challenging part as need to interpret the doctor's handwriting) and even letting us to do the dispensing (of course only for the simple medication or so called 'express').
When I was first sitting on the dispensing counter, pressing the number queue of the next patient, my heart beating fast. I able to feel the stress when sit on the chair as it is your responsibility to dispense the correct medication to the correct patient, and your responsibility to counsel on how to take the medications and also the precautions of every medications.

As for the transcribing, it was as challenging as dispensing, and for me is the hardest thing 😂.
Firstly, I CAN'T READ SOME OF THE DOCTOR'S HANDWRITING!
Second, the doctors use brand name instead, and what we learn in university was the generic name. Hence, is a big challenge for me trying to remember the brand name of the medications.
Third, it is hard to remember the steps of transcribing using the PhIS system. Although I can say that I manage to remember almost every steps for either express or regular prescription, it is still challenging.
We had a group case presentation in between our attachment. It is kinda like a competition between health clinic. And our pharmacist helped us a lot on figuring out the pharmaceutical care plan, the guideline sources, what we should know, what we should read etc. However we did not win the presentation at last, felt sorry for him as he did help us a lot on it. But, what's more important is that we learn a lot from preparing the case presentation and during others' presentation.

The most best of this attachment is that:
I able to learn a lot of things, do more hands on, feeling more like experiencing what a pharmacist does.
The health clinic makes me feel like I am welcomed, I am not a burden there, as they willing to let us do anything they do, they willing to approach us, ask us questions about the medications or diseases, they willing to share with us their knowledges about the diseases and medications.

On our last day,
They made us a jamuan perpisahan a.k.a farewell party.
It was so warm.
Bringing all the home cook food and invite us to have lunch together. Making fruit cocktail, cooking spaghetti on the spot.

Also,
This is the very first time that I live far from my house for attachment. And is the first time I live together with this bunch of people, who I am not very closed to (some of them). I never thought that we able to make such great memory during our stay, as we are all from different places, with different race, but still create the sweetest memory.
A little regret that we all were busy packing our bags to back home on the last day, we did not manage to get a group picture. But never mind, the greatest memory does not need a picture to be remember as it will always be saved in my brain.
